Amara is starting her third year at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. This past summer, Amara worked as an intern in the business affairs department at Sony Television International. In that position, Amara worked on international television licensing contracts. Amara has a B.A. in History and Film Production from USC and a General Course degree from the London School of Economics. At the ASU College of Law, Amara has been at the forefront of an effort to pioneer several initiatives in sports and entertainment law at Arizona State. Her participating and development of this blog is the first of many projects she is undertaking. By Spring of 2011, the College of Law plans to offer a new Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, for which Amara will be the founding editor-in-chief on the entertainment side, a Sports and Entertainment Law Clinic which will provide students with a hands-on externship-style learning experience under the one-on-one mentorship of local agents and attorneys, and a Sports and Entertainment Law Honors Program that will include a 3-year guided curriculum for students interested in the field.
