Snooki

Just when you thought this girl was all poof and no substance, the ever-intriguing Snooki has once again surprised us all.  After appearing on MTV’s wildly popular reality series, “Jersey Shore” for two seasons, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has landed a book deal with Gallery Books.  The young reality star will release a novel tentatively titled “Shore Thing” featuring “love on the boardwalk.”  The book comes as a positive turn of events for the star, when just months ago the world watched her petite-frame stagger through the sand during her shore-side arrest for disorderly conduct.  Pending further run-ins with the beach patrol, Snooki is expected to release the book in early 2011.

The novel is expected to portray similarly provocative themes as included in the show, complete with “big hair, dark tans, and fights galore.”  And no one knows more about these topics than the breakout star of the intriguingly guilt-ridden pleasure that is Jersey Shore.  As the most recognizable member of the cast, Snooki, who explains her ethnicity as “tan,” is best known for her teased hair, orange complexion, and unapologetically crude demeanor.  When not picking fights in the club or performing drunken cartwheels for her roommates, Snooki is often found searching for that perfect “Guido” to love and cherish.

Thus, with experience and knowledge by her side, she undertakes an original work packed full of delightfully raucous intrigue, deception, jealousy, and spray tan.  Snooki assures her fans that her work is not a collaboration, and is something she has worked on for a long time.  While it is unclear whether the star’s youthful literary ambition outweighs the glimmer of dollar signs dancing through her eyes, what we know for “shore” is that Snooki sees this opportunity as the beginning of her merchandising empire.
