Dirty Test for Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan is heading back to jail. Lohan served nearly two weeks in jail earlier in the summer for violating the probation she obtained for her 2007 charges for DUI and cocaine possession. Her ninety-day sentence turned into thirteen days for the probation violation due to overcrowding and good behavior. After her release, Lohan entered a court-ordered rehabilitation clinic for a prospective ninety-day stint, and her stay was once again cut short. True to form, Lohan was released from rehab on August 24, 2010, after just three weeks, and entered into a court-ordered intense outpatient treatment program. In exchange for her freedom, the program requires regular drug testing of its participants, to monitor their recovery for the court.
While Lohan and friends reported the actress was doing much better and reorganizing her life, this past week TMZ and other sources reported that the young star had failed one of her drug tests in violation of the program. The dirty test reportedly indicated cocaine in addition to other unreported substances, and even though Lohan’s sources attempted to deny the rumors, the story was confirmed late this week. Not only did Lohan test dirty for cocaine, various media sites are now reporting that the star failed multiple tests in a row.
Lohan’s judge, Eldon Fox, previously warned the actress that such a violation would result in a thirty-day jail sentence. For multiple dirty tests, thirty days per fail is the standard. Lohan is not scheduled to be back in court until November 1, 2010, when she will likely have to answer for her failure to stay clean. Regardless of her excuse of the week, it appears the young star’s fortune and “good behavior” has run out and she will likely be returning to jail.
